An alternative brand for individuals who rely on enteral feeding. Creating furniture-like pieces that seamlessly blend with home decor offering a sense of dignity, comfort and a more positive sensory experience.

Initial concept generation looking at two problem areas, pump feeding and gravity bolus feeding. Redesigning the equipment for a better user experience.
"I would buy something more portable and stylish if it was available."
Existing pump feeding stand by Nutricia and provided to patients by the NHS. The stand is large, heavy, not portable and made entirely from plastic.
Primary stand design for pump feeding. Using materials such as wood and metal to create devices that feel more like furniture in the home.
Bolus feeding user experience journey. From connecting the syringe to during in the feed and letting in drip through.
Trio of syringe holders for gravity bolus feeding - removes the need to for the user to hold the syringe for up to an hour at a time. Different bases to suit different environments in the home.
"It would be great, as an 18 year old, to have something less clinical."
Following a human-centred design process with a key user. Carrying out user research and testing to iterate designs and concepts.
Results from a questionnaire with PINNT - a national home artificial feeding support group. Results concluded that users aren't happy with the current equipment and it needs to be updated for a better user experience.
"I don't think the equipment supports day to day life."
Testing materials and processes to produce intricate forms
Intended user with the final design, testing the functionality and proportions of the syringe holder.
